BIOGRAPHY of Luke Harrison

Luke's goal is to touch lives around the world with his gift of voice, music, acting and performing.

Luke Harrison has been no stranger to the stage throughout his 17 very accomplished years of life. From a young age, he has appealed to audiences with his mesmerising raw talent and natural ability to captivate a crowd. His very first word at 11 months old was “amazing ”and that has been the theme of his life ever since.

Luke is a gifted Singer, Actor and Performer. With an extended range, his repertoire covers Contemporary, Pop, Musical Theater and Pop Opera Fusion.

In 2020 Luke was trained and mentored by David Romano, Los Angeles based “Vocal Coach to the Stars,” until David’s sudden passing on 26 December 2020. David Romano has been the vocal coach for Josh Groban for the past 2 decades.

2018 Commonwealth Games
Luke has a number of exceptional performances under his belt. On 15 April 2018 at age 13, Luke sang live at the Closing Ceremony of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games alongside Australian Soprano Greta Bradman and Guitarist Karin Schaupp during the Commonwealth Games Flag Lowering and Handover. Luke also sang backing vocals for Iconic Australian Musician Archie Roach in the finale of the Closing Ceremony. On March 2018 Luke recorded the Queen’s Baton Relay Song with Music Director Katie Noonan for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. On 4 April 2018, this song played throughout the stadium as Her Majesty’s Baton arrived and was handed over at the Opening Ceremony. Following the Commonwealth Games Luke sang live on ABC ME television and shared his Commonwealth Games experience.

Musical Theater and Performances
On March-May 2016 Luke made his professional musical theater debut starring as Friedrich in the London Palladium Production of The Sound of Music at the Queensland Performing Arts Center (QPAC). In January 2020 Luke was cast as Galileo, the lead role in the musical We Will Rock You and in March 2021and 2020 he was cast as the lead vocalist in the Creative Generation State Schools Spectacular broadcast on Network 10. In 2021 Luke performed the Australian National Anthem at the Queensland Governor’s Swearing In Ceremony at Parliament House and in 2019 Luke performed the National Anthem opening The Hancock Prospecting World Swimming Trials and also the Brisbane Ekka before a 25,000 audience. In May 2019 Luke was a lead role in the musical Strictly Ballroom and in July 2018 Luke starred as a Lead Role in his school musical Rex. In February-March 2018 Luke performed as The Artful Dodger in Spotlight Theater’s Production of Oliver and in May 2017 Luke starred in Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical performing in the lead role of Michael Banks. In January 2017 Luke won a scholarship to attend the Greenroom Project at The Gold Arts Center and was mentored by and sang a duet with Australian Soprano Marina Prior. On December 2016 he made his solo debut at The Queensland Performing Arts Center singing Ave Maria with The Queensland Pops Orchestra and performed a duet with Australian Soprano Mirusia, the moving Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Webber. In 2015 Luke was broadcasted and also performed live “You Raise Me Up” in Los Angeles. Then in 2016, he returned by popular demand to perform “The Prayer.” In 2014 Luke took the stage at The Gold Coast Arts Center to perform in Opera Queensland’s production of La Boheme.

Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols

In 2019 Luke performed in the Brisbane Lord Mayor Christmas Parties at the Brisbane City Hall alongside some of Australia’s finest performers. Luke starred in the 2018 Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols, the 2018 and 2019 Brisbane Carols By Starlight and the 2020 Carols On The Coast. Luke also performed and opened the 2016-2021 Gold Coast Mayors Carols. He performed in the 2015 Gold Coast Production of Opera in the Park, the 2014 Broadbeach Christmas Carols, the 2013 Warner Brothers Movie World White Christmas event and the 2012 Surfers Paradise Christmas Carols.

Luke has won countless Vocal, Speech and Drama Competitions and Eisteddfods across Queensland and received the highest exam mark in the State for Drama and Performance by AMEB and Trinity College of London for 4 years.

Screen Actor, Dancer and Multi-instrumentalist
Luke is a talented screen actor, dancer and multi-instrumentalist who plays the piano,  drums and percussion. Luke is currently a part time show host, presenter and actor on Network Ten’s new channel 10 Shake whilst studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a world recognised qualification at The Queensland Academy Of Creative Industries in Brisbane, Australia. Luke keeps fit at the gym and with a range of sports including swimming and basketball.

Luke’s Goal
Luke’s goal is to touch lives around the world with his gift of voice, music, acting and performing. In February 2017 Luke released his first original song at age 12 called Heavens Song, which he recorded in the United States in July 2016. In December 2021 Luke wrote and released his second original song, called Free.

Young Ambassador
In October 2017 Luke was appointed Young Ambassador for the Gold Coast Charity Paradise Kids (now Wesley Kids) and in August 2018 Luke won the Westfield Local Heroes Award, a remarkable achievement at such a young age. In November 2018 Luke was nominated for his work with Paradise Kids and received a World Kindness Award from Gold Coast Councillor Glenn Tozer and in December 2020 Luke was nominated for the Queensland Volunteering Awards recognising his spirit of service and making a positive difference to the state and community of Queensland. In 2021 Luke was also appointed the Ambassador of Gold Coast Charity Rainbow House, providing  grief and loss support for children within the community.

Luke was invited to represent Australia, on the panel to judge the Junior Eurovision Song Contest held this year in Minsk, Belarus.
